Contractions started, now stopped. What to do?

I thought my contractions had started overnight (about 2am). They were every 10 mins, only lasting about 15 seconds but since I got up they seem to have stopped. Is there anything I can do to encourage them? Midwife talked about keeping active but I feel like moving around actually stopped them.

My first labour was like this. Started contracting on Monday, baby came on Saturday.

my second and third labours, I walked. But if it’s the middle of the night, get some sleep nowand your trainers on in the morning

How did it go OP? I’m now in the same boat, first started having mild contractions on Friday 4am… they’ve been coming and going. 2 nights in a row they’ve got pretty regular and down to about about 7 mins apart only to ease off again! Had a sweep on Saturday but yesterday only a few very mild contractions (I was resting most of the day as I was so tired from lack of sleep). Wonder what today will be like! I will take pp’s advice and get some walking in

It was a whirlwind. Contractions started again and within 4 hours we were at the hospital. Just made it in time and gave birth half an hour later. Too late for pain relief. World of difference from my first when I was only 1cm after 12 hours of contractions.
