4 days ago and I am hobbling around like an old lady, and sometimes seize up altogether. Is this normal?

I have only had the injection once, even though I have 5 dc!
It hurt so much I refused it all the other times, and left a hard lump in my leg too
congrats on your new baby
what did you have?
I would check with mw when you see her again

could they have hit a sciatic nerve when they gave the jab? That pain sounds sciatic.

Interesting. I told the mw about the pain on Saturday and she said it sounded sciatic, and asked if I'd had any injections. I said I hadn't (had forgotten about this injection in the post labour blur), then mentioned it to dh, who remembered them giving me the injection at the spot where it really hurts. I couldn't stop shaking after the birth, so may have hindered attempts to inject me.

If they have hit a nerve will it just sort itself out over time? At the moment I'm tempted to go out and get myself a walking stick.

Will talk to mw about it tomorrow, but was curious to know what was normal.

No hard lumps in leg, thank goodness.
