Dilapan rods - induction

I've just had 6 dilapan rods inserted in me and told it should have been 5 but they will keep the 6 in now given that the doctor didn't know.
Baby has been moving a lot then.
I wanted to ask if I sit upright will the rods poke or hurt the baby's head?

Also I've been told there is a risk of them falling out which is making me scared to go to the toilet, has anyone whose had this procedure before able to go to the toilet ok, for both passing urine and bowel movements ?
