C section with Covid

I was just wondering if anyone has had a c section whilst Covid positive and if so what modifications the hospital made?

I'm due for a planned section on 16th May and 3 friends who I saw on Sunday have now tested positive for Covid. I know only time will tell but I'm now wondering how the parameters would change if I tested positive. I think timing wise I should be fine even if I did get it.

We've been through so much to get this baby - I just don't want to be derailed by something like this. But what will be will be I know x

I'm so sorry that you might be at risk of Covid-19 at such a late stage.

How are you now @Janefx40? Have you felt ok?

Thanks @SiouxsieSiouxStiletto I'm doing fine. So far no Covid. I've been testing and it's now been a week so hopefully I have got lucky. Some of our other friends who were there have now come down with it.

How are you? I recognise your name from other threads but not sure if it's the same SiouxsieSioux or not!

I don’t know if they might delay the C-section if you have covid? Would that be a possibility in terms of your dates/gestation?

fingers crossed you stay clear!

@BrutusMcDogface thanks for responding. Since I first posted this I have seen the consultant. They wouldn't delay. They would just take more precautions but if my partner got it then he couldn't attend which obviously makes sense but would be sad for him. But so far so good anyway. Hopefully I won't get it x
