Does it look like green snot? (sorry, I know it's disgusting). I've just found a little bit and am leaking slightly (but could just be discharge, I'm not sure). Also been having quite a lot of Braxton Hicks today (well all week really). This is baby number 2 (EDD in 9 days) but with dd first sign of labour was when waters broke int he night...
Any advice much appareciated!

Hmmm... mine looked like a spoonful of jelly, half yellow (like vaseline) half bloody. Did you get alot, or a "wipe" ?

chiefcookandbottlewasher · 15/02/2008 16:07

i once read someone on here who said 'it looks like a giant has sneezed'! That always stuck in my mind and i found it to be strangely accurate when i went into labour

FourPlusOne · 15/02/2008 16:07

Yes, same sort of thing as LadyOfWaffle. Mine 'appeared' about 24 hours before baby came on both occasions. Maybe you'll have your baby soon!

Haylstones · 15/02/2008 16:09

Hmmm, I got a wipe really. Had a pad on today and it was pretty 'full', greeny yellow colour. No blood or anyhting.
DD is at a friend's so I've just phoned dh to finish early so he can drive me to pick her up...just in case! We've got to go to an amateur production of Snow White tonight!

Mine looked like LOW described - a big blob of clearish jelly, streaked with red bits -
waters didn;t break until 36 hours later tho

mom2latinoboys · 15/02/2008 16:12

With ds2 I had a show 2 weeks before he came, but once I had a bloody show he was born less than 24 hours after.

I think that if it is green, then you should get it checked out? It may be worth ringing your midwife about this, perhaps?

Haylstones · 15/02/2008 16:19

Yes, maybe. I think I will wait a bit longer, collect dh and see what happens

"Alien slime", that's all I could think when mine appeared! Can't remember how long before DD's arrival it was though.

Sketchi · 19/02/2008 21:46

Well I didn't have the show until about 5 mis before I started puching my DD out and I had been in labour for 16 hours.

Just in bath in my labour suite and had a mother of all mighty god contractions, wanted to push there and then so decided to get out. As I was getting out of bath blood spurted down my leg (at this point I panicked as I forgot about the show and my water shadn't broken) - midwife came rushing in and just said not to worry that it was indeed 'the show'.

Just blood (like period blood).

JossStick · 19/02/2008 21:53

Mine looked like a creme brulee of yellow & blood on my knickers.............Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

KatieJB · 19/02/2008 22:07

Yep. Had period like pain and a big lump of clear ish but blood tinged snot stuff. Small though, smaller than i had imagined, about 10p size,

YUK sorry

MelissaM · 26/02/2008 13:43

Mine appeared about 4 wks before dd arrived! And just kept coming! It was like snot but with quite a bit of blood too. There was loads, but some people just get a little I think.
