VBAC Support person - me, me, me!

I'm so excited - my dear friend, support person at my own fantastic VBAC a year ago, has asked me to be there with her and her husband for her (hopefully)VBAC in June. (Oh, and obviously her midwife ).

I am so pleased and proud to have been asked, and of course now I hope I can be as good as she was at mine. I used MN as a source of advice and guidance for my VBAC, along with lots and lots of the links posted here by you all - as did my friend in her 'preparation' for helping out.

As this is my first birth support experience I would love to hear the experiences of others who have done this, particularly those 'ordinary people' who are otherwise untrained, just there as another women in the 'women's moment' so to speak. Any funny stories, suggestions, etc?

Yayayayay! I'm so excited....

thats great. Advice, hmmm, if she changes her mind and wants another section do not hassle her!
I had a friend as my vbac support person and she was very very pushy. I did have a vbac at home in the end but things went wrong and my 'friend' hasn't been in contact for 4 years. It is a very emotional experience so I hope it all goes well for you both both.
