Period pains, getting worse, could this be a start??? (please say yes!)

I've had fairly bad diarrhea the last couple of days, plus horrible bad back pain. Now, since yesterday evening I've had period type cramps slowly getting worse every 20 mins with niggling pains inbetween. I'm booked in for a sweep tomorrow I'm not looking forward to, and I'm praying this is the start. Pains are about 20 sec long, not unbearable but I'm used to bad period pains.

Is this just another pregnancy symptom or could it be the real thing? I need your wisdom!

sounds like the start to me. i had this feelng after my waters broke with ds1. Just keep timing them and when they are every 5 minutes i would contact delivery suite or if the pain becomes a but more uncomfortable give them a call.

Good luck, and hope to reading your birth story soon

Rest darling. Sounds like it's going to be exciting. I wouldn't worry about counting them just yet.

If you can't rest get your DVD comedies on or sort your photo album.

Oh sorry I forget the one word you wanted to hear......

yes!

Noooo! It seems to have stopped. Not fair, I'm a week over and all I want is to cuddle my baby!

I had diarrhea the night before I gave birth. It was in the middle of the night, which for me is odd. And then felt immense pressure the following day in the pelvic region. My waters then broke in the evening, and contractions started immediately as I got into hospital and it went quick from there. Good luck
