Just trying to make myself feel a bit better.. spent all pregnancy being smug that I hadn't got any stretch marks ... lo exits and I have quite an impressive selection! Including a few on the inside of my calf.. what have you been left with and what are you using??

Ds left me with some stretchmarks on my lower stomach. I got to 36wks mark free, then bam, each day that passed the numbers doubled. DP likes to call them my battlewounds

Oh, and of course the cs scar - I forgot about that very obvious mark

Arent post op CS scars awful? especially with engorged milky udder breasts? If you look face on in a mirror your torso looks like a big smiley face, especially if your belly button is still popped out. AND ok, nasty question here, but its 5 years since my cs, and is it normal to have the odd pubic hair growing out of scar? HA HA soooo attractive!!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 13/02/2008 16:46

Oh no, I'm going to have to look in the mirror later and see if I resemble a smiley face

As for pubic hair, I'm going to have to investigate that later as well, although I don't think I have - but I will have to double check now!

And as for what to use on stretch marks... I really liked body shop cocoa butter but I'm "lucky" and only have silvery ones on my hips. My friend says her stomach looks like she has been run over by a tractor. Oh, and what about the "W". ? Look down at your stomach a few months after baby was born and see the W where your sagging stomach muscles are!!!! Or maybe I just need the gym!

A very stripy tummy here, couple of tiny marks on the underside of one boob!

Two on the very very top of the inner upper thigh from pushing lo out!

Some on my tummy are 1/2 thick

15mo pp now and fading pretty well, but no bikinis for me unless the zebra look becomes fashionable!

Stretch marks on under tummy and sides of boobs. However, they have faded in colour since the birth and I can still wear Bikinis (the hot pants type ). I do not think stretch marks are ugly at all, what makes them ugly is the fat to go with them. I am not excessively overweight, just have a remaining 4 kilos to shed

Bluestocking · 14/02/2008 12:03

Nothing except the scar from a temporary colostomy!

vixenwasp · 14/02/2008 21:50

I had one either side of my popped ot belly button (which has gone a strange colour) at 36 weeks, then mine also doubled daily! I now have symmetrical tiger marks covering half of my stomach already have silver ones on my boobs from puberty...... not given birth yet but hope I have some clear clear skin left!

An understanding of the phrase "You don't know what you've got til it's gone"

I was once the owner of a DD set.

I now have a set of deflated C-cup balloons.

empen · 14/02/2008 22:06

i am stretched from boobs to knees, multicoloured. the ones from dd1 are silver more recent ones from ds. have had 2 cs and a tummy tuck in between so the whole area is a big old mess and i have stray hairs growing from the scar! GROSS

onlygirl · 18/02/2008 12:44

ive got loads of baby stripes, 1st set from ds1 then the set from ds2 just formed in the tiny gaps left from the first set all silver and shimmery.

fiona76 · 18/02/2008 12:48

I look just like the girl from the link. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I love DD (12 weeks old) and feel they came when she did but I don't like to look in the mirror too much.

VictorianSqualor · 18/02/2008 12:54

I don't think my stretch marks are too bad, I'm pg with my third now and know that with my other two they went down prety quickly so they don't really bother me.
However I have a HUGE scar going from under my belly button to the top of my vagina from my first cs and then a normal CS scar going across so I have a ruddy great cross in the middle of my abdomen.

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 18/02/2008 15:47

i have loads of stretch marks from DD which cover my entire stomach below my bellybutton and some snake up towards the boobs aswell i once heard them called 'medals of motherhood' by a dear MNer and have adopted this for mine aswell they have faded to silvery lines but they are quite deep and i have a bit of spare blubber keeping them nice and obvious!!

clur79 · 18/02/2008 15:52

Nothing until 37 weeks them bam! I have a large set of baby stripes across my tummy, no crop tops for me

blondiep14 · 18/02/2008 15:56

no idea, and i'm refusing to look!!

spugs · 18/02/2008 16:57

with dd1 i got a few on boobs and calfs , one tiny one where my belly button was pierced and a bum like a zebra! with dd2 the ones on my bum went a bit red a gain and with this one only the one on my tummy has gone red so far (touches wood) still 5 weeks to go though

MrsMattie · 18/02/2008 16:59

Didn't have many until the last few days of my pregnancy. Then they suddenly multiplied like crazy . I've got them on my stomach, breasts, hips and inner thighs. Three years on they have mostly faded into those silvery lines. I didn't use anything except a good lashing of body lotion after the shower. Don't believe in all that bio-oil nonsense.

talkingmongoose · 18/02/2008 17:05

Stripes all over my tummy, and a strange bit of dark pigmentation on my forehead which has faded a bit but still obvious.
