Hi guys hope your all well I have a question regarding elective planned c section and induction.
i have had a very difficult and risky pregnancy and mentally and physically it’s been absolutely draining. I knw the impact mentally has been quite traumatic- due to health complications a c section has been advised and booked and I will be 38+5 week. Originally was advised and in agreement that 37 or 38 is perfectly safe however due to no availabilities for them
dates they have booked it at next available slot with is nearly 2 week later. Mentally and physically I am really finding it difficult and was wondering if they can possibly make a change if requested I just let them book it and didn’t discuss it I just feel so defeated from the whole journey this is my 5th pregnancy and had previous losses some
later on hence why my anxiety is very very high. Any advice appreciated

I'm so sorry that you are struggling and I'm also sorry about your late losses.

Are you under a Consultant? I'd phone their Secretary and ask for advice on bringing the date forward.

My Consultant's Secretary was very helpful when my MW decided after already having multiple scans that the baby was suddenly breech.

There is no harm in contacting your midwife who can advise you how to contact booking team. They may or may not be able to accommodate moving the date but if they scheduled it later than hoped due to no availability then it's unlikely they will be able to change it. Although there could be cancellations if a lady booked for an elective has gone into labour earlier than booked date.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x
