Can you have abnormal cells in cervix removed during c-section?

I am having a c-section and have found out from an abnormal smear result and colposcopy that I have some dodgy cells in there that will need removed. I’m terrified of the pain of the whole thing so was wondering if they were able to do it during my c-section since they’re down there and I’m numb anyway? 🙈 I’m going to ask but just wanted to see if anyone had ever had this before as I know you can lots of other things done in that region during it! Hey,

I don't believe so. They will probably suggest doing this after baby is born! I would speak to your midwife!

Good luck xx

@Mumoftwogirls23 thanks, that’s what they have said they were going to do but obviously as it’s a different department they weren’t aware that it was a section I’d be having so I will ask at my next appointment in may or see if my midwife can check with the consultant. It would just save an awful lot of worry to get the whole thing done in one go 🙈 x
