If you had an elective c section, how close to your due date was it?

Mine was at 37 weeks.

Mine was booked for 40 weeks. I ended up going into labour at 39+1 so they had to do it then 😬

In my experience they will try to book you in for around 39 weeks and possibly give you steroids beforehand (definitely if you have it booked in for before 39 weeks). If you go into labour and have a c section before 39 weeks, they don’t bother with steroids but if you aren’t in labour they will give you the first one beforehand (whilst you are being pushed into theatre if necessary).

I requested mine to be booked for 40+0. Went into labour at 39+1.
