Tight upper abdomen = contraction?

2nd pregnancy now. During the first one I got the braxton hicks but all the abdomen was hard and there was no sensation in my pelvis.

now just the upper abdomen, plus sometimes a kind of cramp or undefined discomfort very low in my pelvis. I think I’ve been having them for sometime now, days, weeks, but just starting to pay attention now. 34 weeks and had a few today.

it’s likely they aren’t real contractions no, as there is no progression , ut maybe this baby is gearing up to show up early?
