When did your period return?

I have a 9 month old who I ebf until about 6 months, then started combi feeding and dropped bf altogether about 2 weeks ago. My period has still not returned and wondering if this is normal? Starting to feel a bit nervous as everyone else’s seems to come back as they drop feeds!

Mine came back yesterday, at 9 months postpartum.

With DD1 it was 11 months.

I wouldn't worry yet, it's different for everyone, sometimes it comes back much earlier even if ebf - just enjoy not having it. I'm wishing mine had stayed away 11 months this time!

Approx one month after stopping bf

With DD1 I was still exclusively breastfeeding (it was lockdown so she was home with us), and with DD2 it was similar to you. Exclusively breastfed until 6/7 months, then combi fed. Now she's mainly formula fed with a breastfeed last thing at night and first thing in the morning.

At 15 months, I was still breastfeeding but had a night away without feeding a few weeks before. Not sure if it was linked at all.

Came back at 9 months. Had one period then got pregnant with DC number 2. I don't remember when it returned second time as I was in too much of a blur with two little ones!

Mine came back at 24 months with dc1. Dc1 is currently 20 months and still not back. We're still breastfeeding which I think makes a difference.

Came back about a month after stopping bf - about 11 months. Before that did combi feeding and no period

He slept through the night since 11 weeks so I think that might have contributed getting period back then x

6 weeks after the last time I expressed milk for all three pregnancies for first period

Then my periods were regular after about 6 months of periods

I had several months where I didn't have a period as well but it has now become very very regular

My youngest baby is now 11 months old

11.5 months postpartum. I had dropped down to breastfeeding once in the morning and once before bed.

With my first 17 months (was still breastfeeding)
Second 12 months (still breastfeeding)
Third 10 months (20 months now and still breastfeeding).

Four months pp and ebf.

There's a very wide range of normal on this.
