Both of my planned c-sections were lovely. Very relaxing and calm. And easy (I'll probably be flamed for saying that!). Hope it goes well.

rainbowstardrops · 06/02/2023 06:51

Good luck!!!!

boboshmobo · 06/02/2023 06:56

Just take the drugs back to back afterwards and don't be a hero .
I've had both and the c section recovery was obviously much worse but the calmness of the birth outweighed that .
My dd is 19 and I still remember the fear and pain from her birth like it was yesterday . My c section for my son was so much different. The cutting bit is very weird but there is no pain .
Good luck

Just make sure you keep up with painkillers after. Soon you’ll be with your new baby, how exciting!

DecommissionedVag · 06/02/2023 07:03

It's natural to be anxious but you'll be fine. I had a planned section and like you i was so nervous, but it was such an amazing experience.

stockpilingallthecheese · 06/02/2023 11:28

Hope all went really well and you're enjoying some lovely cuddles now! Would be really interested to hear how you found it. I'm 6 days post partum after a forceps delivery that came after a long and painful labour so I already feel that if we decided to have another in future I would want an elective c section!

Irishgirl55 · 06/02/2023 15:39

Hope all went well with the section this morning and you and baby are both healthy.

Would be interested to know how it all went too. I'm due my second in May and due to a rough first labour, i am thinking about a planned section!

Congratulations OP! 💐I’m sorry it wasn’t as easy as it could have been (my CS was a bit dicey) but so glad your daughter is doing well and I wish the speediest of recoveries. Thank you for updating.
