Post c-section tummy pain

I’m almost 12 weeks post c-section and have a super tender tummy. It’s not around my scar, but all over my tummy ( overhang 😫). The best way I can describe the pain is a bruised kind of feeling. I expected this for a fair while afterwards as I know it’s a big procedure - but didn’t expect it to last 12 weeks.

Super interested to hear if any other c-section mamas have experienced the same, or if it’s something I should be getting checked out?

Hey I had an emergency c section almost 5 months ago sometimes the area around the scar feels fine but other times (like at the moment) it's really tender. It's kind of aching at the moment like I've done lots of sit ups. From what I've heard it's normal.

Yes random pains for about 7 months, worse nearer the beginning and lessening as time went on but if you are concerned see your gp

Emailer2511, just wondering how are you now? Has this improved for you? I am struggling with something similar now 15 weeks post op - bruised feeling all around my abdomen between my scar and belly button. I am really worried that it will never get better :(.

I’ve had two ECS. To be honest my stomach didn’t feel normal for about a year

but the pain was slight and tender when I touched it - never sharp. If sharp go to the GP

Pains are fairly normal but keep checking the scar. If it smells or there is any liquid oozing there could be an infection that needs antibiotics.

I had a feeling like I'd pulled a muscle under the scar for ages afterwards, GP said it's fine as long as the actual scar isn't oozing/infected etc. Be careful with lifting heavy stuff!

Had a section 2 weeks ago. No scar pain (touch wood) but my belly overhand bit feels bruised, like it was punched a few days ago and is still sore.

Glad this thread popped up - at least I know it's not just me

Hi! I am experiencing a similar thing - was wondering how it is feeling for you now? So hard to get checked this time of year 😔
