Braxton hicks or contractions?

Wondering what everyone else thought

Last night and today I started getting cramps / uncomfortable feeling in my lower back

Today I've also had some white discharge (doesn't look like bloody show / mucus plug though?)

Also had one or two dizzy spells and some nausea.

I'm only 33+3 so too early to be having the baby but what do we think?

A hot water bottle doesn't seem to ease the uncomfortable feeling, nor does moving

Hey ❤️ my baby girl Harlow was born at 930am. The birth wasn't great. Well.. The birth was. The labour wasn't. I think I'll be asking for a debrief tbh as it moved so very quickly and I felt out of control.

I did forceably regain control and actually shouted at midwife. I feel awful! But I was just so out of it. Once it came to pushing I was calm and focused and everything went great.

This 500lb baby that scans predicted came out at 8lbs 4oz. So very standard. She had meconium in waters so we're still in hospital for monitoring. I'll attach a pic. I'm so in love. Xx

@GoT1904 ahhhh the biggest congratulations! A beautiful name for a beautiful girl! I'm so sorry the birth wasn't what you wanted it to be but I'm so happy for you that she's finally here! How are you feeling now following on from the pre eclampsia etc? The waiting is finally over for you now 🤍

Thank you so much ❤️❤️ I feel really rough actually but I assume its the covid / pre E fiasco and I'm anemic. In myself I'm fine and I'm sure as the days go on I'll feel more able.

How are you getting on?

I felt guilty not savouring my pregnancy, but I'm going to savour every second of these baby days. Xx

Ahh don't feel guilty, pregnancy is so tough! Both mentally and physically and your hormones will be all over the place now won't they?!

I'm okay, still pregnant and not so patiently waiting! My due date is literally 3 days away 🙃😩

@GoT1904 just a little update for you! My baby girl was born on her due date 19/02 weighing 8lb 4 (pretty much on track for what the scan said!)

Her name is Hallie 💕

I started getting contractions in my pelvis at night but wasn't sure what they were because it was so different to my previous ones! Woke up early as the pains were still there but wasn't happy with baby girls movements. So I called and went in. By the time I got there I had excruciating shoulder pains as well. They were worried about my scar rupturing and bleeding in my stomach so told me I needed a section!
Got a second opinion and she was happy to break my waters and see how went. Waters went at 11 and she was born at 6.09 with just gas and air and an episiotomy! It went fairly well I can't complain.

We did do it, I'm proud of us!
