Is this normal? Mucus discharge post birth

Had baby by c-section 5 weeks ago. I’m still having discharge on a daily basis which is all mucus, sort of light brown in colour - no blood. I did have some itchiness for a time but that seems to have largely gone now. Is the discharge normal at this stage postpartum?

Yes I’m pretty sure it’s normal, I had brown discharge that got gradually lighter for at least 8 weeks after having DD. I can’t remember exactly when it stopped but I remember being fed up! I had a vaginal birth but I don’t think that makes much difference. If you have any concerns though definitely speak to your gp, just to rule out infection.
