we have had a ferrari outfit made for our little boy and need to buy a cap to match.

trouble is we dont know the size of his head and as a first time mum have no idea.

can someone please tell me roughly the size of the babies head, there is one on ebay for 18" (45cms) would this be too big?

thanks in advance.

p.s apologies if this post is in the wrong place!

Sorry - just seen this is in childbirht and so perhaps you ds is not here yet! Will go look up circumferences on a chart for you instead of being facetious!

According to my chart, a 3 month old in the 50th centile (i.e. the most average of average) would have a head circumference of just under 41 cm and a 6 month old's would be 44.5 cm.

The upper and lower for a 3 month old was something like 38.5 cm and 45 cm - so it should fit him OK at some point bewtween 3 and six months I would think.
