I've had 9 months to get used to the idea, but I'm being induced tomorrow and it's hitting me like a ton of bricks... this is it, no going back, baby is COMING. My emotions change as fast as the minutes tick by - excited, impatient, overwhelmed, terrified, teary, happy... but overall just BLOWN AWAY by what's to come. Just had to post and reach out to others going through this amazing, terrifying, life-changing ride! (And if anyone else is due tomorrow... GOOD LUCK!)

P.S. Never posted on antenatal boards as I had four miscarriages before this and felt too superstitious...

Tomorrow will be the first day of the rest of your life, the best day (can't imagine you've ever done anything better than becoming a mummy for the first time)....I wish you and your little one the very best of everything.

Wow, I didn't expect so many lovely replies - thank you! It really is an incredible time, isn't it?

Will try my best to get some sleep - bit 'wired' though - need a trashy mag pronto!

Will post on birth announcements once me and little one get back home.

It's funny how you really do feel like you're the first person in the world to do this, don't you...? Doh!

Thanks again...

Hello NL - good luck - hope you managed to get some sleep (you're going to need it ). Congratulations.

mrsruffallo · 02/02/2008 07:51

Good Luck- Let us know how it goesxxxxx

Sarahjct · 02/02/2008 09:01

Good luck NL! I was induced three weeks ago and the result is now lying on my chest hiccuping... again...! I found it all totally surreal but she's so worth it.

MrsMattie · 02/02/2008 09:04

Wow. A baby! I still get excited like a little kid at Christmas when i think about babies being born :-) Good luck xxx

neuroticlady · 02/02/2008 11:08

sarahjct, that's so funny - I read your post about your hiccuping baby, while mine - in my tummy for around another 12 hours - is hiccuping too! Hard to believe that just below the surface is our baby, with (we hope) ten fingers and toes etc.

Thanks for all your good wishes. Maybe bub will be here this time tomorrow...? (Plenty of PUUUUUSHING to do first! )
