I had an emergency c section 3 weeks ago today due to my son being back to back.
I was up the next day and home after 5 days, and up till this monday was recovering well, although not doing to much atall as have had hubbys help and my mum to stay for when he returned to work on monday.
Tuesday though i found i was alot more uncomfortable around my lower tummy, finding standing and moving around difficult again, like in the first few days after the section. Also im getting really really bad period pains (worse then i have ever had).

Has any one experienced this or know what it might be. Could i be having a period this early on. Im still bleeding from the section so couldnt tell??????

I have seen a doc but he has given me painkillers and told me to come back monday if no better and then i will need a ultra sound????

Out of curiosity, why was yr section emergency?
I didnt have section, but had really bad after pains with dc4. Sil had ultra sound as she had pain a few weeks after vb, there was a tiny bit of placenta left in, just needed dc
Don't know if any of that is any help, sorry

I had an emergency c section as after 30 hours of labour they discovered that he had his back to my back, and even though fully dilated the contractions where'nt pushing him down into the birth canal so they couldnt venthouse and i was exhasuted!!!

poor you! dd2 was back to back thats why i asked. Had normal, quick vb but pain was like nothing i've ever experienced, i thought i was going to die None of my 3 other births were like this.

sounds like you have had a rough time

did your post birth bleeding stop? and has it now restarted? what is your bleeding like? any bad smell to it? might be an infection.... did he check that your uterus was not larger than would be expected.. that can also indicate infection?

definitely go back sooner than monday if it continues like this

and try to rest and take it easy as much as you can

No bleeding has'nt really stopped, got alot less and less bloody, but no bad smell that i have smelt.
He felt my stomach so that he knew where the pain is, as very painfull if u press my lower tummy, but he didnt indicate that my uterus was larger than expected and he checked my temp and b/p which are both fine.

I feel fine in myself!

My first ds was an ES and a fortnight ago I had a planned section.

If it's any help, my ES took me a lot longer to feel 'normal' again and was in more/longer pain than with the planned section.
