Being induced at Liverpool Womens

Evening all!
I'm being induced at 39w at Liverpool women's as we know baby has some heart conditions.
I've been asked to go at 5pm to start the induction and I'm expecting it to be very slow from what I've read so far.

We live about an hour away, and im wondering if my husband will be able to stay with me or if he needs to leave/book a hotel for overnight?

Thanks :)

Your husband should be able to stay with you. I would give the MAU a call just to double check. Good luck!

How is it all going @gderb ?? My last induction took 3 days and dh wasn’t allowed to stay, I imagine an hour away will be close enough for when things get to the business end!

i absolutley love Liverpool womens, unfortunately I’m way too far away now but one of the best hospitals to give birth in imo

Following. I'm also getting induced at Liverpool Women's a week on Sunday when I will be 39 weeks.

Hope everything is going ok OP.

Really? My husband was able to stay with me when I had my son in 2016. Maybe it’s changed?

Ah @CurlyNo2 my last induction was 2021 but in Worcester, we moved back towards family so I can’t say for LW!

CurlyNo2 · 11/11/2022 19:06

Ah ok, at the Womens only one birth partner is allowed to stay in MAU area until the woman is ready to move to either MLU or Delivery suite and then she can have 2 in total with her.

I was given a non-consensual sweep on the induction ward in 2020, so make sure you tell them firmly that you don't want one, if you don't!
