Elective C-Section in 3 days!!

Ahhhhh so my c-section date is getting nearer and I’m excited but nervous. Please share your stories and help me with what to expect?! X

How did it go? I've got one in 3 weeks and am extremely anxious about it!

I had one 3 weeks ago as an elective and I can say for sure it was better than my previous emergency one!

How did you get on @Gibshername?

That's reassuring, I had a vaginal birthday first time round, it was soo traumatic, shoulder dystocia, 3rd degree tear into the sphincter, followed by suspected sepsis and bladder issues. Hence why they've suggested c-section, but I'm terrified of something going wrong and me or the baby having a poor outcome x

My second elective is in 5 weeks! I had a elective 4 years ago. Obviously the spinal block and epidural hurt like a b! I had to have both, I'm not sure of thats standard? but they expected me to bleed alot (didn't in the end)

Obviously its major surgery, after a week everything starts to get a bit easier. First few hours/day are horrible but you just get on with it. Having a supportive partner helps too! Good luck!

Hello everyone. So sorry for the late response. I had a c section on 24th and had a healthy baby girl! It honestly went amazing, I’d say the worst part was the waiting around before theatre! I’d do it all over again 😃
