Does this look funny? Doesn't particularly hurt apart from the odd stinging sensation.
Can't tell if it looks like it's opening or not
The second pic is what it looks like the other side

I will see how it gets on - doesn't look as red today so might sort itself out yet !

No I wouldn't turn up at a&e, there's nothing wrong with me to warrant it !

Looks amazing for 2 weeks! Actually looks better than mine at 1 year onBlush

Mine opened, it was like a waterfall but the water was red as it cascaded down. DH had given me a fit of the giggles and the more I tried to stop the worse it got, he was thrown out by a very exasperated midwife who had to sort me out.

I wish mine had looked that good.

Thank you everyone for the scar compliments 😆
It's still stinky and weepy though ! Think I'll call the gp in the morning as it doesn't seem to be getting any better (or worse luckily)

Mine was like this, they took a swab and gave me a week of antibiotics. All cleared up and healed now. Good luck!

Hi it's op, had to name change in order to post another pic for some reason!

This is is today, I feel like it's got worse than when I originally posted - left it too late to get a gp phonecall today so will have to try first thing 🤦🏼‍♀️ still stinks, scar is painful but not sure how much of that is normal at 18 days post section

Try bathing it with salt water (you can get sachets from chemist or boil water add salt and allow to cool - can Google instructions) Do not apply any sort of cream. If you can lie down and let air at it by holding it like you are in that picture so it can dry for 10 mins several times a day will help as often there is a skin crease which keeps it moist. Just watch to see if redness is extending or it is more painful or if you feel feverish/unwell then call 111.

OP do you still have the maternity triage’s phone number?
you can call them & see if they can see you today even though you are nearly 3 weeks post natal as it is a post operative issue.
