Is this early labour?

I woke up around 3am needing a wee. I went for a wee and went back to bed and started to get some painful cramps - much more then the BH I’ve been having. These were coming every 10 mins or so, then every 5 mins and we’re getting more painful. Since getting up for the morning they’ve died down - think they’re coming every 20 mins or so now and seem less intense. Is this early labour? Or just BH playing mind games with me again? I’m 40+4.

If you’ve experienced early labour, how long until it ramped up and turned into actual labour?

I'd say it's almost certainly early labour. DD1 took 72 hours from start to end, almost exactly. DD2 took 6.

Sounds like it. If you have a yoga ball sit in front of the tv and bounce on it.

I’ve been having pains on and off all day which paracetamol doesn’t touch. I think I’ve just lost a bit of my mucus plug and I think there’s a bit of blood in it so that must be a good sign? Hopefully things ramp up tonight

Sounds like it! Make sure you rest and trust everything your feeling is doing something. I had a day of this and when labour kicked in properly it went quite quickly. Get some rest, eat nice food to keep your energy up. Oh and try to keep peeing and you’ll be great!! X

Sorry for bombarding your post. But I’m 36+4 and I’ve had diarrhoea (sorry tmi) since Thursday, lots of discharge, stomach cramps and low back pains every now and again. Do this sound like the start of something?
