Sweeps and being overdue

Hiii everyone I’m currently 40+6 and have a sweep tomorrow at 41 weeks I wanted to know how many people had a sweep at 41 weeks and was successful? I had my plug come away a week ago and I’ve been having pains the past couple nights with loose stools today 🤞🏽Hoping I have a baby by this weekend

I did, I went into labour about 12 hours later.

I had 5 with each of my babies. I don't think they work. People who have them are overdue anyway so more likely to go into labour so probably mostly coincidence.

My first sweep at 40 + 6 did nothing. Had another 5 days later and everything kicked off (bloody show next morning, full on contractions 24 hours later) but agree with previous poster that I was overdue anyway so I never know whether to put it down to the sweep or not

I had a sweep at 3 days overdue at 4.30 pm, went home and had immediate contractions, rushed to hospital, baby born before 7pm!

Wow that’s super quick baby wasn’t playing ! How dilated where you when they checked ? I’m scared I won’t be very far

I’ve also been sick just now and having lots of lightning crotch and some tightening ? Are these signs

Oh wow that’s quick ! Hoping it works for me but I’m trying to go into it with a mindset of it could or it couldn’t just in case but I do think I’m in early labour I’ve been sick and having a funny belly since yesterday so hoping it works ! How dilated where you ?

I had a sweep at 40 + 5 at around 10am. Contractions started immediately (hardly made it back to the car!) and baby born at 2pm :-)

Update think I had my bloody show tmi but I’ll attach a picture and have more pressure and have some period cramps and back pain so far it’s only been 4 hours though

I had a sweep last Thursday at 40+4. Unsuccessful and now booked in for an induction (which is so desperately a wanted to avoid after DC1) tomorrow at 8pm.
