I’ve heard it’s supposed to be straw coloured.

Call your maternity ward and ask for checkup

Largethighsbadeyes · 05/10/2022 15:33

It looks slightly brown on that photo.
If so it could be that your baby has had a bowel movement inside, in which case you need to be seen ASAP. Sometimes green/sometimes brown

How many weeks are you? They may decide to induce or do C section if they decide that has happened

If you have been leaking amniotic fluid for a few weeks you should be being monitored at the hospital. How many weeks are you? Have you had a speculum examination to confirm its amniotic fluid? I would suggest you phone the labour ward for advice if you can't contact your midwife

You shouldn't be leaking amniotic fluid for any length of time, theyll want you in to be checked/induced after 24hours unless you're very early and already being monitored with the rupture. please ring the hospital if your waters have gone! Otherwise, it's probably discharge x

Agree with PPs that you shouldn’t be leaking waters for a few weeks. Once your waters start leaking (or you get a gush) they like you to deliver within 48 hours due to risk of infection.

if you haven’t already, phone the maternity unit so they can test to see if it is your waters. It just looks like increased discharge to me which increases a lot in your last few weeks of pregnancy

Creameggs223 · 05/10/2022 20:54

Your waters can slowly leak it only becomes an issue if they go completely as am sure poster has been checked out and given this information. If your noticing change in colour tho you should deffo go get checked out.
