Induction or c section?

I have pelvic organ prolapse (uterus) and am currently pregnant (36 + 5) with my third large baby. Due to minimising further damage to my pelvic floor or need for forceps my consultant has agreed to induce me at 39 weeks. However I also have this niggling thought at the back of my mind that I should really be having a c section.
my pelvic floor feels absolutely battered and worn out as it is, my lower back is in absolute agony from the pressure - I can’t imagine how it’s going to feel after I’ve given birth.
it’s a long shot but anyone else with prolapse issues go on to have a successful vaginal birth?
