How long after your show did you go into labour?

I’m on 39+3 but getting very impatient! I think I had the bloody show yesterday morning, and assumed I’d be in labour by now, but nothing has happened since then and I don’t feel any different.

Is this your first or second pregnancy? With my first I didn't have one, my waters poped and still nothing untill then, with my second it happened about a week and a half before I went into labour x

I never had a show with either. My labours both started with my waters breaking as I got out of bed in the morning, baby arriving later that day. Nothing before at all - not even backache. No warning. Just very wet feet.

I assume the show was washed away with the waters!

My first was about 2 weeks before labour, my second was a few hours before the birth, it can really vary. It's a good sign that your body is getting ready but doesn't necessarily mean that labour is imminent. Congratulations Flowers I hope you have a lovely smooth birth Smile

I didn't, still had to be induced even though my show appeared two weeks prior

With first pregnancy, had a show when shopping in Morrison's on Saturday afternoon. Started getting slight contractions Sunday teatime. Baby born 5.44am on Monday!

Bloody show early in the morning, contractions started not long after then baby was born about 1am the following morning. However waters didn't fully go until baby arrived.

Currently 39 weeks with my second and regular Braxton Hicks so hoping i might get a clearer sign soon for this one🤞

I was already in labour when I had my show, albeit it home.

Had been for over 24hrs but hospital sent me home because I was only a couple of cms dilated and while contractions were close together they weren't strong enough that I wanted pain relief.

But literally as my show came it was like someone flicked a switch to "OMG we need to go back to hospital so that I can have drugs RIGHT NOW!"

DS was born 7hrs later.

About 6 days. It happened in the evening when I was already 40+8 and I got really excited thinking pregnancy was finally over! Then nothing happened for nearly another week. I was gutted!

It’s my first pregnancy. Sound like it could still be a while! 😭
