Are second babies more likely to come nearer due date than first births? Is there a direct pattern specific to every woman or is every birth different?? What's your experiences?

I'm sure every person is different .

DS was born at 38+3 so when DD was born at 40+4 it was a very long last two weeks .

mosschops30 · 23/01/2008 14:54

I think each birth is different.

dd was born 40+4
ds was induced at 40+15

NatalieJane · 23/01/2008 14:55

Agree with above.

DS1 40+5
DS2 41+1

Both induced.

My2Weegirls · 23/01/2008 14:57

dd1 37
dd2 39+6

mom2latinoboys · 23/01/2008 15:03

DS1-induced at 38 weeks
ds2-natural labor at 39+3 ( I asked Dr. if ds2 would most likely come early and she said that because my induction at 38 weeks was successful, she didn't think ds2 would go past 40 weeks.)

bero · 23/01/2008 15:04

ds1 38+0
ds2 40+8

bero · 23/01/2008 15:04

That said I think ds2 was definitely 'readier' for the world than ds1.

JingleyJen · 23/01/2008 15:05

every pregnancy and birth is different
however
due date both times here

izzybiz · 23/01/2008 15:12

Ds was born at 38 weeks,
DD was born at 38 weeks,

Am hoping this next one follows suit!!

sweetkitty · 23/01/2008 15:14

DD1 37+5 weeks
DD2 41+5 weeks

4 more long weeks she was cooking for!

Surely I'm due one on time this time?

FoghornLeghorn · 23/01/2008 15:15

Luck of the draw I think.
DD1 - 40+6
DD2 - 40+6

Blimey! It's a real mix, some are just sooo different and yet almost 30ish%of you (lucky people) have exactly the same delivery time as before. The mystery of genetics, eh! Thanks everyone.
