C section - hard sausage like lump above incision

Hello, I had a c-section nearly 3 weeks ago and have noticed a hard sausage like lump above the incision line/scar. Like a hard ridge above the whole length of the incision, not the scar itself. It’s not hot or red, it’s skin colour. Is this normal and does this go down?

have I don’t something wrong recovery wise to cause this?

Hello.. did this ever go away? I have the exact same thing. Thanks xx

Hello, yes it did.:-)

I did scar massage and it went down. I also paid for one session of a scar massage with a physio and that massively too. How long ago did you have your c section?

Thanks so much for getting back to me! Only 3 weeks ago. The outer stitching is very neat. It's just above it, inside is literally a hard sausage as you've described. Going to see gp just to check and will look into the physio and massage
