I remember this with my first!! Totally normal, don’t panic. They bruised because I tore a bit and from the stitches. I think the hormones can add to it.

regular Pain relief and I had regular showers and breaks from wearing pads afterwards because they irritated them. And not sitting down for too long. I seem to remember some people recommended ice pack but I didn’t fancy that. You can get cushions with the middle cut out so you’re not putting too much pressure on sat down. Also a bath with witch hazel too? Bet within a week you’ll feel much better.

Congratulation. Bet you feel like shit at the moment but enjoy the cuddles xx

Thx for the response but they are too big like two big balloons and I can't walk easily.

Consult gp/nurse/lady doc for reassurance/etc.

Get midwife to check on it and make sure theres no infection, but it's probably normal. Try to lay down rather than sit to take the pressure off, you can make padsicles too or just generally ice the area (non direct, use a towel etc on the skin) x

I had this, was awful and didn't think they'd go back due to how big they were, a few days later had no swelling at all x

Ditto - had this and it does go down.
Honestly it was horrendous and I FREAKED OUT. I had no idea that area could get so big.
And it was purple.

A week later and you couldn't tell at all.
