Natural vs elected c section

Hi all, this is my 3rd pregnancy.
My 1st my daughter was back to back so came out head up resulting in a near emergency c section but thankfully avoided.
My 2nd was my son who was also back to back and resulted in a forceps and episiotomy as he got stuck.
I feel I've pushed my luck enough with natural delivery. Are you able to ask for a c section?
Both my babies were large too, 8lb 10oz and 9lb 5oz.
I'm feeling very worried about it all.

Having had both the vaginal delivery was by far easier afterwards, especially with tow other children.

Absolutely you can request one. Having had a forceps birth, you'll be referred to a consultant anyway to talk about your mode of birth this time anyway.

I'll also be 43 so I'm worried about being older too

My emergency section was a walk in the park compared to many of friends who had vaginal deliveries or attempted vaginal deliveries that ended up in EMCS or forceps.

Problem is everyone will have a different sorry, you have to do what's right for you. Worst case scenario IMO is ending up with a section after you live gone through a long hard labour, you've been hit by a truck both ways then.

Story not sorry

Your body, your baby, your birth. You can have a maternal request section for whatever reason you want.
I had a similar experience, DD1 was back to back and tilted head, turned with Vontouse, episiotomy and forceps delivery (with just gas and air!!) I was traumatised (there were other issues too) so booked for an ELCS with DD2, I actually went into labour the morning of the section, and baby was born back to back vaginally whilst waiting for the section! It was actually fine! (Albeit the back pain horrific)
Pregnant with DS1 now and doing all I can to prevent a back to back baby, but what will be will be I guess x

Omg what do you do to try and prevent back to back?? I didn't know you could do things!! I'm petrified of this birth for some reason. Serious over thinking going on xx

Of course you can ask for one!
But be prepared to be talked out of it, stay persistent if it's what you really want.

I had one for maternal request, mainly due to anxiety around giving birth. I would throw in that with your reasons, which it sounds like it is as you’re worried it will go like your previous births have and you have big babies. I had the best day ever, so chilled, so easy, virtually painless and I was handed my baby after just a few minutes. Recovery was completely fine too and sounds easier than my friend’s recovery who had forceps etc
