Hi, i hope this is ok to post, im seeking some help for my sons partner.
She’s had a rough pregnancy, and at 38 weeks they decided to book her in for induction, on the day of being 39 weeks. This was 4 days ago, they inserted a pessary Monday am, nothing happened, they inserted another Tuesday, also put her on a drip and gave her magnesium.
still nothings happening, and i just though id seek advice as to what may happen next? My son was induced but that was 20 years ago! And it happened the same day.
im very worried about them both, her body doesnt seem to be responding to the interventions, and shes going to ask for a section, but would they do that at this point? Baby’s not distressed, but her heart rate was low.
I’d just like to know if anyone else has gone thru similar, what might happen next, and if she has a section, how long will she stay in hospital? And how long is recovery?
