30 weeks and thinking of changing hospitals

I am booked into Kingston but have heard so many frightening stories about lack of staff/lack of beds, etc that I am seriously considering changing to Epsom. This is my 2 nd child and I am nrevous about the thought of giving birth anyway. Has anyone changed hospitals so late and hw do you do it? I assume my GP is the starting point.

I personally haven't done this but my sister did at about 32 weeks for pretty much the same reasons. She got in touch with the hospital she wanted to change to and then her new midwife got her notes from the hospital she was originally at. Does that make sense?

Hope that helps.
