I got a temperature during my labour and as a result had to be rushed to theatre where I lost 1 litre of blood already being anaemic.
They told me it was an infection in my uterus so started me on 2 strong antibiotics. After about 3 days, whilst taking the medication (now orally), I started getting temperatures again, shortness of breath, extreme weakness but it would come and go. I'm now back in the hospital (depressed af) on iv antibiotics again this time they've added a stronger one so I'm on 3 and they're doing blood cultures and blood tests to determine what's going on.
Has anyone else had an infection during childbirth and what was your experiences/symptoms. I guess I'm looking for some type of reassurance and get myself out of this negative mental space I'm in 😣
