C Section Pain

I am at my wits end now with not really getting any answers to what is going on so posting on here to see if anyone else has had anything like this.

I had an emergency section almost 11 weeks ago. 10 days after the c section I had a major bleed at home and the hospital put this down to "its probably just a large clot what formed and came away". I did not get a scan or anything to confirm this.

At 8 weeks postpartum I called the GP as I was still bleeding (red/pink mucus like) and have a pain if I touch my stomach even lightly at the side of my left hip and then along to level with my belly button. GP sent me to Gynaecology who did swabs and a scan. They gave me some antibiotics & advised the scan didn't show anything left behind and if there was it has come away. They also mentioned the lining of my womb was thickened so would probably get a period soon and the pain was probably "just one of those pregnancy things".

I am now almost 11 weeks on, still have the pain if I lightly touch that area and I'm still bleeding red/pink mucus like/watery blood. Any ideas?!

Not much help to you OP but I had a c-section 18 months ago and had nothing like what you're describing. Normal post-surgery healing pain, mostly around the scar, for a couple of weeks, then fine. There was some bleeding but you're almost 3 months on, I would have thought it should have resolved. I'd go back to the GP asap to discuss the pain and the bleeding and get another referral if you can. Best of luck.

You are bleeding from your c-section?

because that would not be right the wound should have closed ages ago

are you constipated? That can put pressure on the internal wound - you may have a blockage

Thank you both for replies. Sorry, I should of said the wound is well healed with no issues it's just this pain & bleeding downstairs like you say almost 3 months on. No issues with constipation either. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas as I have a feeling I will just get fobbed off again ☹️

So glad you posted this. I've got the bleeding but no pain. I thought it was spotting getting ready for my period but I'm not sure.

I thought the same thing but it's more like lochia as its mucus-like/watery than normal bleeding in my case. It's horrible isn't it! It's like it's never going to end 🙈
