Hello all, I’ve been told I’m having a c-section (planned) at 35 weeks under general anaesthetic due to a 17cm fibroid. I may be under for a while as they will try and remove the fibroid at the same time. I really want to breast feed. Has anyone been in a similar situation? How was breast feeding sorted if you may not see your baby for a few hours after?

Hi, how did you get on? I'm in a similar situation although my fibroid is around 10cm. I haven't been offered the option to remove the fibroid at the same time. Was yours on the NHS? And what was recovery like?
