Post c section

I had an emergency c section a week ago today after 17 hours of induced labour. To say my
insides are still returning to normal is an understatement but it’s been fine until this yesterday/this morning. Started with a bit of an odd feeling when going for a wee although was peeing fine, just like a bit of a twinge towards the end (apols for the tmi). This morning was desperate for the loo when I woke up but when I sat on the loo it took ages for anything to happen and when it did it was a tiny trickle (imagine squeezing a full juice carton
quickly). Does this sound normal post surgery/catheter fun? 😕

Sounds like it might be a UTI (very common after having a catheter). I'd give your doctor's a call or midwife and see if you can drop off a urine sample and get some antibiotics. Keep drinking lots of lots of water that will help too. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Very much sounds like a uti and I regularly get them when having a catheter.

Best try and catch a sample next time you can manage to go and get it tested to check.

Poor you, they are horrible

A short course of nitrofurantoin should sort it out very quickly.

Thank you v much for your replies! I nipped to GP earlier this afternoon. Hopefully it’s nothing but if it is early enough before it gets any worse! X
