Type 1 diabetes and induction

Hi everyone,
Not looking to spark a discussion on whether induction is right for type 1 diabetics mums, but it’s looking likely I’ll be having an induction by 38 weeks latest.
My diabetes has been well controlled (current hba1c is 39!) throughout so I’m hoping I can still use my insulin pump throughout delivery. I’m currently 27 weeks and starting to discuss birth options with my obstetrician.
I am hoping there may be some other diabetics out there who have also had an induction who may be able to offer words of wisdom or advice please!
Thanks x

I was induced with both my pregnancies at 38 weeks due to type 1 diabetes and everything was fine to be honest I was glad I couldn't cope any longer 🤣

Having an induction is a way for your medical team to contr your diabetes during labour as they will be prepared more. If you went into labour yourself and arrived at hospital and your pregnancy medical team was not available your care might not be met if that makes sense
