Is labour near?

35 weeks. Lots of cramping and period like pains. Have period pains in boobs too. Sore lower back and feel like I have some diarrhoea.

Have had discharge. The snotty, stringy kind but I've had that through my pregnancy. There's no blood in it so I don't think it's the plug.

What do you think? What was early labour like for you?

Lost plug. Waters broke. Baby born 3.5 hours later at 36 weeks

Get this checked ASAP. Could be nothing, could be something.

flowerpot258 · 04/05/2022 19:04

Thanks I will try speak to my midwife tomorrow then and just ask what she thinks

Hello @flowerpot258 I am also 35 weeks and experiencing some similar symptoms to you! Was also wondering if it means labour could be near

flowerpot258 · 04/05/2022 21:20

@Applespice2016 - hmm, could be something or maybe just braxton hicks and our bodies preparing for labour

I actually have flu like symptoms like a runny nose. This can apparently
Be a sign labour is near. Either that or I'm going to have a really crap week choked up with the cold

I had diarrhoea the weekend before my waters broke, lots of discharge and cramping and a lot of lightning crotch. I was 39 weeks. As you’re a bit earlier I’d probs give midwife a call

@flowerpot258

hope you are not feeling to poorly!

How are your symptoms today? Mine seemed to have stopped besides the constant need to wee as I can feel baby headbutting my pelvis 24/7

flowerpot258 · 05/05/2022 15:45

@Applespice2016 - the cramps have gone but I do have a cold now. Sore throat, runny nose, just stuffed up and no energy.

Aw that's good for you though. Has baby engaged yet?

@flowerpot258 oh no bless you , I hope you feel better soon 🥰

Definitely feels like baby head us very far down! Constantly needing to wee and Constantly feel like there is so much pressure down there . Apart from that and the tiredness everything else is normal now

flowerpot258 · 05/05/2022 22:51

@Applespice2016 that's good that baby is in the right position at least!

I've been having period pains again tonight. Will phone midwife tomorrow
And just ask about it

Update on me: I actually tested positive for covid today... first time I've had it. Typical. Waiting on midwife calling back as I might need to get blood thinner injections

@Applespice2016 - thanks. Feel okay ish. Just feel like I've got a cold so I'm hoping that's as bad as it gets.

How're you feeling? Anymore cramping?

OP posts:
Applespice2016 · 07/05/2022 08:30

@flowerpot258 really hope your stay mild! Hopefully be feeling all better before little one arrives
I'm ok , don't really seem to have any more cramping or anything! Although this morning I do have a mild stomach ache but I think it's just a slight upset stomach (again) but not like the other day
