Induction at The Heath, Cardiff

Morning! I'm scheduled for an induction at The Heath soon, and wondered if anyone would be happy to share their experiences? I'm a FTM so a bit nervous.

I was induced there in March last year at 40+12 due to high BP.

There were only two of us on the ward so it was peaceful, they have lots of balls to sit on and a bath you can use. They were very responsive to me asking for pain relief and help putting my TENS machine on.

The midwives were lovely. They started me off using the gel at about 8pm, at 11pm the following day I went to the delivery suite.

I’m not sure what the rules are now regarding partners but I was on my own the entire time, which was the worst bit but you can leave the ward for a walk. Someone I know walked around the park with her husband.
