Vaginal changes after birth

Had a vaginal birth 14 weeks ago (induced at 41+2, very fast birth - 30 mins between having waters broken and baby being placed on my chest).
I had a second degree tear which has healed really well and caused no issues, and no other problems. Have been doing pelvic floor exercises as advised from about 3 weeks post partum.
My issue is that my vagina just FEELS different. For the first couple of weeks it felt like something was slipping out of it, it was incredibly uncomfortable. This eventually changed to only feeling it when I’ve been busy or gone on a long walk. The doctor thoroughly examined me and said there’s nothing wrong, it’s definitely not a prolapse but things may just feel different down there now as I birthed a big baby very fast. She also checked I was doing my pelvic floors correctly which I am so that’s not the issue.
Has anyone else experienced this? It feels so uncomfortable at times…as I said it’s almost like something is slipping out but it’s definitely not! If anyone has experienced it did it disappear with time? Or did you just get used to it?
It doesn’t hurt at all, it’s just I’m very aware of my vagina now whereas before I wasn’t if that makes sense! Thank you :)

Maybe varicosities? TMI but I have these. They were uncomfortable for a short while but it’s back to normal now. Kind of felt like I had a bubble trapped up there? They were obviously visible to the dr but I can’t really spot them. Like I said, it doesn’t bother me any more.

Hi @Baby193 this pretty much sums up exactly how I’m feeling, I can’t find anyone else describing the same feelings without it being a prolapse. I’ve been checked by gp and physio and haven’t got a prolapse so I can’t explain what the feeling is. Did yours improve?

Yes it took around 8 months for me to no longer notice it. I was terrified of prolapse / pelvic floor issue but saw gp and private physio so definitely not that. I no longer get the heaviness or discomfort but it does just feel different down there now.
