Induction date

I got an appointment for today to be induced but they said that it’s unlikely that I can go in today. Is it common?
I have to say that I’m not a fan if the idea of getting induced but making me wait a lot for a procedure that can take days makes me incredibly anxious. :(

They line up women to be induced for a particular day and you are called in when they have room for you.

I was told to call first thing in the morning and then called back about 10am to go in at 11. I then had to wait in reception for about 45 mins for a bed.

I live about 10 minutes walk from the hospital.

My DD was born the same day.

It’s awful waiting around for your time to go isn’t it :( I’ve had to do it twice. I hope you managed to get called in soon OP

I was told to call back at 18:00 but they didn't say that I can come in after that. It's just really annoying to sit and wait for my pone to go off.
Thank you for the replies.
