Tracking Contractions

Hi everyone, I'm 39 + 2 on my first baby and all that's on my mind is going into labour at the moment. When contractions start do people tend to just time them using a stopwatch or equivalent? Or is there an app people recommend?

I used the Freya app with mine.
Good luck x

I've downloaded the Freya app too and apparently suppose to tell you when they're close enough for you to ring midwife. If you've done positive birth company course supposed to help with guided breathing. I'm a week behind, are you ready for little one?

I used an app can't remember the name of it.

I used one called Contraction Tracker - very basic but did tell you when you should call triage (as it was, i was already in hospital so that bit didn't matter).

What i would say is when things get going, it would be better for your birth partner to do the tracking rather than you. I found i would start the tracker but then forget to stop it at the end of the contraction, especially as they got more painful. So they might want to put the same one on their phone too.
