Hii
Please help
I’m overdue by 3 days. Iv been bouncing and swerving my hips on birthing ball like crazyyy! Nothing has happened. But last few hours I have intense pressure which is painful in my pelvic area (where the bikini area) it’s so hard to get up or even move around. Breasts also starting to ache and I have back pain too. Is this a sign that my labour is starting?
Also baby is very much engaged, had a scan two days and sonographer did say baby’s head was very low down?
Someone please assist! Xxxx

Oh sounds like it! I had 2 induced births so no experience but all sounds normal early labour

Can you call the labour ward and just have a chat with them? Exciting!!

I didn’t want to call the ward in case I was in over my head but you’ve given me the push. Il see what they advise !

Well I just got told I could have dislocated Pubic bone which can happen end of pregnancy which can make turning over in bed uncomfortable. Not early labour and nothing to worry about apparently 😭 just want this baby out!

The pain is probably due to baby being engaged, so that and the relaxin opening up the pelvis. Also slight SPD/PGP.

Pregnancy can last up to 42 weeks, and many first babies come after their 40 week 'due' date.

Relax!!

My labour was all lower back and pelvic pain. No waters breaking or plug loss...for me it came and went in waves.

Rang the ward and they said to have a hot bath 🙄 (I did and it was lovely) but by the time i was advised to go in to be checked for early labour (after a little blood loss) I was 8/9cm dialated!

Trust your gut and as pp said - try to relax! I found distractions in audio books and telly!

Yeah I’m binge watching on Netflix but I think because I’m overdue I’m stressing and just want baby out. At night I also overthink and start to convince myself I may be in early labour due to the heavy back pains etc. gosh
