Strep B second time round

So with my first child I was tested for strep b as I kept being misdiagnosed with thrush, recapturing symptoms and finally tested and was positive for the strep b.

My waters broke at 8pm, no contractions what so ever.
Assessed my hospital and was told I need to be induced with antibiotics so my baby doesn't get infected or poorly whatever it was.
Was given the hormone drip 5am but gave birth within 9 hours as my body knew what to do.
Baby born at 2:44pm
With this being said now pregnant again will I again need to be induced and be treated with strep b without testing ??

The strepB is not a reason for induction unless the waters have broken. The decisions about testing and antibiotics are complex. If you Google “Sara Wickham midwife” you’ll be able to read loads about this . She is a midwife and an academic and great at explaining complex issues which don’t have straightforward answers.
Hope things are easier for you this time

This time round they should test for group b strep as you have a history. Alternatively get it done privately. There is a really good charity called Group B Strep Support, they have loads of amazing information.
