Silly question but can braxton hicks go on all day or do you think it must be contractions? I'm 36 weeks pregnant and have been having them all day...tightenings abs waves of pains but they don't seem to be massively worsening although they aren't comfortable. Thanks

They can go on for weeks.

I had them for about 2 weeks before labour. Were pretty regular and uncomfortable but didn't get any worse. Lasted for a couple of hours a day. But actual labour started exactly the same way, it just got stronger after a while and didn't stop.

Thanks. I've basically had them all day without much break but they don't seem to be worsening too much, just v uncomfortable and a sore back. I didn't have them with my first pregnancy so wasn't too sure but it sounds like it's not labour yet thankfully.
