TENS machine - which one?

does anyone have any experience of using a TENS machine? i'm giving birth jan 20th and wanted to get one but wasn't sure if some makes were very good and others rubbish! thanks!

I got the boots one on hire, and it was fantastic... took me all the way through my labour, right up until the birth, and I got by on just G&A on top of that. Definitely take extra batteries with you and get your birth partner to practise swapping them over QUICKLY.
(the batteries in mine crapped out 5 mins after I gave birth )

oh, agree with Gemzooks - make sure it's one for childbirth. The ones advertised for pain relief generally aren't suitable. You will definitely need the boost button, otherwise it's pointless..

i used the boots one first time round and found it useless, it had too many levels which were too complicated to navigate in labour.

second time i used this one ladycare TENS and it was brilliant. i kept it on until the midwife told me i had to take it off and PUSH!

Make sure you put it on early in labour, as soon as the contractions start to get the endorphins building up. If you leave it too late it won't be as effective.
