Im 41 wks today with my fourth pregnancy and Ive just had a show for the first time.

What are other peoples experiences of having a show and how long was it before you went in to labour? I think I might be quick as its my fourth but Im not too sure.

I had ds2 withing 24 hours after a bloody show. With me it just kept coming, until it turned bright red about 7 hours before he was born.

How exciting. I never had shows with any of my four so I can't specifically help but I did pop in to say all the very best of luck with the birth. I wonder if you'll give birth this year or next.

Had a small show the evening before both of mine were born - so about 24 hrs between show and birth. Good luck!

Hi, when I was expecting my 4th baby, I had a show at midnight and had him at noon, the pains started around 2 hours after the show, I hope your dh is quick at playing those songs! Good luck and hope everything goes well for you .

With my second child (1st labour) my show was at 6am ish and DD was born at 9.25pm.

LOVEMYMUM · 29/12/2007 18:40

My friend was 24 hours in labour with DS (no 1). She was only 6 with DD (no. 2).

Can someone take to you to hospital if needed?

Yes sister in next road and hubby only 30mins away. He works at a local hotel and has been giving one of the bar staff lessons on how to work his equipment should he need to leave in an emergency!
