36+ 5 intense braxton hicks

Hiya,
I have been getting a lot of tightenings this week. Probably 3 an hour in the evenings, all accompanied by very mild back period type pain. I have polyhydraminios so keep getting warned I could go into labour at any point. Not lost plug or anything. It's second pregnancy so know it's not like a normal contraction (although the others were "induction" contractions) so not sure what a natural contraction feels like. Braxton hicks are super tight and quite intense aren't they!? What's everyone's experience of these type of braxton hick contractions, please?

Hello. Have you phoned the midwife or hospital? I would probably go to get checked. What you are describing sounds a lot like how my first labour started. When I eventually went to get checked I was 3cm dilated and then suddenly it became much more intense and painful with much stronger contractions. Given that everything is supposed to go faster the second time around, I think I would want to get checked if possible.

Thanks, got a midwife appointment this morning so I'll get her to have a peek!
